The Ombuds Office for Scientific Integrity at the Medical University of Vienna stands for safeguarding good scientific practice.
Universities have the task of promoting research and are responsible to ensure research projects are carried out impeccably according to scientific, ethical and legal criteria. The Medical University of Vienna's Good Scientific Practice (GSP) Guidelines provide a framework for responsible, fair and self-critical research by university staff and are essential in order to ensure high-quality scientific work.
The Ombuds Office GSP offers support in quality assurance in accordance with the guidelines for good scientific practice to all scientists who are in an employment or training relationship with the Medical University of Vienna. The Ombuds Office GSP has the obligation to investigate concrete suspicions of misconduct in research.
