Procurement procedure at the Medical University of Vienna
The Medical University of Vienna (MedUni Vienna) is a contracting authority within the meaning of the Federal Act on the Award of Contracts (BVergG 2018). Against this background, all procurement processes at MedUni Vienna are subject to this law; therefore, procurement procedures at MedUni Vienna must be carried out in accordance with the requirements of the BVergG 2018 in general.

The present Guide to Procurement serves as support for procurements below the sub-threshold value of currently EUR 100,000.00 (excl. VAT) for direct awards.
In addition, the guidelines contain specifications as to when the Procurement Team is to be contacted in order to conduct a formal procedure:
Core data reporting for awards as EUR 50,000.00 (excl. VAT)
Public contracting authorities are obliged to report procurements with a value of EUR 50,000.00 (excl. VAT) in a core data report of the order. The notification must be made within 30 days from the date of the commissioning (order).
This notification is made by the GSI (Procurement Team) and you are requested to report corresponding orders using the form provided below to beschaffung@meduniwien.ac.at (with the exception of BBG orders, provided that the prerequisites in the sense of the core data notification info sheet are met):
