As a university center in a central hospital (Vienna General Hospital), the functions of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology are divided into three areas: research, teaching and clinical services. The hospital is both a national and international reference center and its aim is to provide the highest level of service, not only to guarantee optimum patient care and top-level research but also to teach in accordance with MedUni Vienna’s new and innovative curriculum.
The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is split into the following divisions: Obstetrics and Feto-Maternal Medicine, General Gynecology and Gynecologic Oncology, Gynecological Endocrinology and Reproductive Medicine, Senology and the Division of Education and Post-Graduate Training.
