The Medical University of Vienna strongly believes in knowledge transfer to achieve international cooperatons, as well as development and cultivation of international relationships amongst colleagues. In addition both, buildup of new relations and knowledge transfer will be supported.
An Observership at the Medical University of Vienna offers medical graduates and scientists from around the world the opportunity to obtain deeper insights and more professional expertise in a specific medical field.
Observers will be enabled to observe colleagues of one of the multiple clinical units of the Medical University of Vienna, to share individual clinical experiences and to attain a basic overview on background factors, structures and coherencies of the Austrian Health Care System.
Strict 'no hands-on' policy - no active involvement
Duration: maximum 6 months within 12 months
Minimum academic requirement: Master's degree
Application timeline: variable and dependent on current (legal) requirements and your nationality (lead- and processing times of up to 4 months possible).
Please send your application directly to the (clinical) unit (University Departments, Clinical Institutes, Medical Science Divisions) of your specific interest. Once the respective unit agrees to host you, the International Office will initiate the approval process accordingly.
